Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to providing educational grants, patient advocacy support and sponsorships that support initiatives for healthcare providers, patients, and their caregivers.

Regeneron is also committed to conducting business in compliance with all Regeneron policies, American Medical Association (“AMA”) Guidelines on Gifts to Physicians, the AMA Ethical Opinion on Continuing Medical Education, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (“PhRMA”) code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (“ACCME”) Standards for Commercial Support, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) regulations and guidance, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (“OIG”) guidance and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Submission Process

All requests for funding, including all required supporting documentation, must be submitted to Regeneron at least 60 days prior to your event date or 60 days prior to the date you require a decision (whichever is earlier). If you are new to this site, you will need to complete the registration process and create an account before you can submit a request for funding.

Please note:

  • You can save your request submission at any stage of the process and return to complete your request application at a later time.
  • Regeneron will generally review your request for completion, clarity, and compliance within 45-60 days of submission.
  • You will receive an email notification upon approval or denial of your request.
  • If approved, funding is conditioned on the requirement to provide budget reconciliation within 60 days following completion of your event.
  • If funding was not used for the approved event and a refund is due to Regeneron, you will have 30 days after reconciliation, to submit the refund.
  • Failure to complete the reconciliation and/or submit the refund within the allocated timeframes may result in your inability to submit future requests for funding, in addition to any rights or remedies available to Regeneron.

Registering Your Organization

Regeneron requires that every organization submitting a request for funding create an organization profile in the Grant Management System. To begin the registration process, please read Regeneron's Terms and Conditions of Funding, acknowledge that you have read this document and then proceed to creating a Registration Profile.

All required fields are marked with a red asterix.

  • The registration process also requires you to create a Username and Password.
    1. Username: please use the email address you would like all notifications to be sent to.
    2. Password: please create a password of 8-12 characters using a combination of alphabetical (A-Z) and numerical characters (0-9).
  • Once you have completed your Registration Profile, hit ‘Submit’ and a confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided.
  • You will then be able to submit requests for funding, simply click on the ‘Home’ button and select the appropriate grant type from the list.

Note: you can update your registration information at any time by clicking on the ‘Profile’ button in the top right-hand corner of the Home page.


Educational Grants

Regeneron may award grants to support bona fide, independently-conducted, educational programs designed to communicate healthcare information to healthcare professionals, as well as to patients and caregivers. The purpose of an educational program must be to encourage an educational exchange of available scientific and medical information. Types of educational programs Regeneron may consider include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Independent Medical Education (IME) programs (accredited or not), directed at healthcare professionals.
  • Third-party scientific and educational conferences or professional meetings that are:
    1. primarily dedicated to promoting objective scientific and educational activities and discourse.
    2. designed to further the knowledge of participants on the topics addressed.
  • Medical education meetings, programs, conferences and symposiums directed at patients, patient families, and patient caregivers.
  • Enduring educational programs.

Patient Advocacy Support

Regeneron will consider funding requests from qualified patient-focused organizations to support patient advocacy initiatives, including, but are not limited to:

  • Support of patient education initiatives, for example, the development of patient educational materials, and/or newsletters.
  • General fundraising activities for organizations that benefit patients and theirfamilies or caregivers.

Sponsorship, Displays, and Exhibits

Regeneron may provide support to an event at which Regeneron will receive a tangible benefit, including advertising opportunities, and/or display or exhibit space. Sponsorships may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support of medical congresses.
  • Support of local associations.

Society Memberships

Regeneron may elect to become a corporate member of Societies aligned with the Company’s interests. Such Societies may include those focused on therapeutic areas that correspond to Regeneron’s research focus or those that support disease areas that align with Regeneron’s scientific focus.


Charitable Contributions

Regeneron may support donations to qualified 501(c)(3) or other valid not-for-profit organizations intended to fund a broad charitable purpose ormission related to community improvement or therapeutic/scientific areas of interest to Regeneron.

Requests that Regeneron is NOT able to support include:

  • Grants to an individual or grants that would be payable to an individual healthcare professional.
  • Conference travel grants or registration fees for healthcare professional participants.
  • Grants for education that is routine and/or a required part of medical training, for example textbooks, or journal subscriptions.
  • Any educational program in which the educational portion of the program is secondary to the entertainment portion of the program.
  • Grants in lieu of a discount or other price concession to a customer that would otherwise be required by law to be reported to the government.
  • Charitable donations to for-profit organizations/foundations.

Requests that are outside the scope of Regeneron Grants website include:

  • Clinical trials (Please call 1-877-REGN-777 (1-877-734-6777) for these types of requests).
  • Investigator initiated studies (Please email IIS@Regeneron.com for these types of funding requests).

Important Reminders

  • All requests for funding, including all required supporting documentation, must be submitted to Regeneron at least 60 days prior to your event date or 60 days prior to the date you require a decision (whichever is earlier).
  • In no event should a request for funding be submitted less than 5 days before your event. Regeneron will generally review your request for completion, clarity and compliance within 45-60 days of submission.
  • Any requests for additional information may result in the delay of funding decisions, as requests will ONLY be reviewed once they are complete.
  • If approved, funding is conditioned on the requirement to provide budget reconciliation within 60 days following completion of the event.
